Some insurance even sets restrictions on what can be stored in your hangar. How come white men don't approach me in public?

Just thinking this one through, I feel like there is usually an added culture barrier or something between black and white. I think it's sort of assumed from my side that you're probably in to hip hop and thuggy black guys unless I see you demonstrate or in a situation that show's somehow that it's not necessarily true. Maybe that's television/movies/media's fault. Think of most black comedy routines, sit-coms, movies where the subject of white people is typically white guys can't play sports, don't talk cool, have small junk, etc. Kind of makes it intimidating. I don't know. It seems like for things to click between me and a black woman, we need to meet in a place where it's obvious we have something in common. A club where we're both there to see jazz musicians or other live music. At an arts festival where we seem to be stopping in the same places. Then it might feel like a safe move to approach.

Google "TMJ Disorders" to see what you may be in for. Ask your orthodontist to treat you non extraction or using expansion instead of having perfectly good teeth pulled. If he/she refuses, then it would be in your best interest to find another orthodontist who will.

Are my wisdom teeth causing an internal clicking noise?

Swollen Gums with Braces?

I've had braces for several months now and noticed that my gums have gotten really swollen. I went to the dentist's office and they just said to brush better. Well, it's been a few weeks now and I've been using Crest Pro Health Mouthwash and toothpaste, yet the swelling has not decreased by any noticeable amount. They don't bleed when I brush, they seem normal other than the fact that they're a really bright pink and "squishy". My dentist didn't act as if it was something incredibly serious, they just said to brush better. I've been brushing three times a day, using warm salt water rinses and all of that, but to no avail. I just want to get rid of this! It's gross and I don't like it at all!

Does having your teeth out hurt?

That depends. When I had my wisdom teeth pulled up they gave me some medication and I didn't feel or remember a thing. But if you are just getting your gum numbed you may feel more pressure then pain from getting the tooth pull. I am assuming these are baby teeth...those hurt less then a permanent because the roots are shorter and not too deep.

They put my two front braces are very near the bottom of my teeth and it looks horrible;makes me look like i have buck teeth. i am looking online at braces and everyone's front two braces are in the middle of their teeth. Today I went to the doctor to get a TB test. After being given the shot, I didn't completely pass out, but almost did. Two days before I got my tetanus booster and meningococcal vaccine and the same thing happened. I am in about 10 hours into my training and was wondering whether or not this could affect me passing my exam. The doctors told me it was vasovagal syncope. The subject pretty much sums it up, I'm 23 and was pretty much a loser up until the past year or so with no dreams or aspirations, was terminated from employment a few times, I've never used drugs or really abused alcohol, there's a hit an run on my police record from when I was 18 although I didn't run and was never even cited for the incident, other than that I'm pretty clean and was never convicted of a crime other than a traffic violation. I know your pain. I had braces for 2 years. Your teeth with be sore for a couple days and at the most a week. The most you can do for the pain is getting soft foods like noodles or liquids. If bread hurts than you should stick to liquids for a couple days. Try swishing with warm salt water, if you have an wounds created by the next brackets/bands it will help and the warmth will relax your mouth a bit. Taking extra strength excedrin always helped me.

I live in the state of IL. I have a 6 year old daughter. My husband wants to adopt her, but her biological father will not sign rights over. Why are my braces hurting so much?!?

Got bottom in April and got top a month ago. Yesterday went to get my colors changed and they changed my wire. How do you know if your overbite is fixed?

I have had my braces on for 1 year and 7 months and I really want them off. They said I can't get them off until November, but I would LOVE to be able to get them off before then. Here comes the problem: my teeth are perfectly straight with no gaps and have been for about 6 months now. All I have left to fix is my overbite. It was pretty bad, but I ALWAYS wear my rubberbands and have been for about 7 months. I am on the heavy kind with a box on left and a normal just 2 bracket attachment on right. There are, of course several maneuvers that must be accomplished during the test, but the instructors will use their own methodology for testing you. Just do what you've been trained to do. It's usually not a problem for someone who's been cleared by the CFI for testing. I screwed up on the forward slip, and didn't pass because of that. I went back the next day, showed him a good forward slip, and passed.

Jaw Surgery!!?? (OverBite)?

Okay so I went to the orthadontist today and he said that before I get braces I should have the surgery on my jaw to make it come forward with all my upper face. I am not that sure about it, I have never been asked to do that. But maybe you can type your description on the computer and glue it on the back of your drawing, or staple it. I am thinking you are not a computer "geek" so you would not know but there is probably some way to enter your paper to the computer and write on it. A few questions about braces?

Different kinds of braces do different jobs! Train tracks straighten teeth! Blocks get rid of over and under bites! Metal retainers get the teeth that are sticking out to go back where they should be. They are usually really effective. I have train tracks and they only hurt when I get them tightened. My friends have blocks and apparently they don't really hurt! Not sure about the retainers. My friend just recently got hers removed and her teeth look amazing. After braces you get your teeth whitened for free (if your under 18) and you get given a retainer usually just to wear it over night to stop your teeth moving back! My advise it if you are offered them then take them because you will probably regret it when your older. Hope this helped.

I bought a used car from a little redneck dealership. By the time I noticed something was wrong with the car and took it to the shop it had been past the 30 day warranty by about two weeks. I would just call and network with a bunch of facilities in different states and tell them you're military, and that you're almost going to be 31 years old. Sometimes they are willing to work with people approaching the age deadline to get them in over other ppl. It also depends on what states you apply for. You can only pick 2 states but if you pick the right ones you can get selected. I know for this panel West Virginia and Kentucky were two states that needed people. But just call around, there's facility numbers for every FAA facility on that website I gave you so try some and ask if they need ppl and who you are. Good luck!

Braces, what happens?

first they have you lick your lips then they put this plastic thing in your mouth to help your keep your mouth open. it has plastic strip in it that i personally use to hide my tongue behind because i hate dentist touching my tongue also :P. then they put a cement on your teeth ( sounds weird but trust me you can't even tell what their doing) then they put little brackets where the cement is again trust me you barely feel it. then they take this purple light ( it's super cool looking) and shine it onto the bracets and let the cement dry. then they have to take these metal bands that they stick on you very last back tooth on each side of your mouth. they just fit it around the tooth and have you bite down. then they run a wire threw the bracets and attach it to the band in the back then they put little rubber bands into the bracets. fun part: you get to pick the colors :) then they take out the plastic thing that holds your mouth open and they have you brush your teeth. all throughout sticking the braces on they will be rinsing and drying and rinsing and drying with that thing that blows out water and that thing that blows air/ sucks water. good luck and don't worry braces aren't as big a deal as they may sound. p.s. if you get yellow rubber bands your teeth look dirty and black rubber bands look like cavities and white rubber bands change color when you eat. and don't worry your tongue should be safe :P good luck hope this helps.

Will someone help me it's quite painful and I need advice?

Well I dance and cheer and my freshman year I was dancing and while doing a Triple turn I did something and I messed up my foot. I had to preform the next day so I wrapped it up iced it and elevated it and called it good. I walked the pain off and a week latter it was gone. But ever sense then if I step funny in the slightest way it hurts for a few days again. But it only hurts to put pressure on it and then make the walking movement or all the time when I'm dancing and cheering. The pain is by my ankle on the side facing outwards more towards the back in that soft place where you don't feel any bone or tendon. I have a little blue brace thing that I picked up from the drug store that gives it some support so I can dance and cheer. My mom keeps wanting me to go to the doctor but I am afraid to go to the doctor because what if they tell me I need surgery and I cant dance or cheer for months? That would kill me those things are my passion. There's nothing a little brace and some advil and pain tolerance wont do right? Help has this happened to anyone else? If so what did you do.

Ninjas did exist. There not that bad unless you have horrible teeth. I play football with them and I have boxing matches with them. I don't have a problem with girls either. I usually forget I have them on, BEWARE the first week hurts like hell.

Soreness around molar crown?

Any opinion from a dentist would be greatly appreciated! I had a root canal and crown on tooth 15 in 2007. No problems until the last couple of days when I've started experiencing some discomfort and I can't really chew on that side now. I have NO hot or cold sensitivity, and it's not a sharp pain, but feels more like pressure soreness. It reminds me of the kind of pain after I had my braces tightened when I was young. I have an appointment to get this seen, but it's not for a few days and I'd like some thoughts as to what it could be? Is it possible for permanent crowns to shift around a little and cause this kind of discomfort? I'm scared to death that it's something bad that would require extraction. Thanks for any input!

Braces problems with cuts?

This happens when you first get braces, not to worry. Your teeth/gums aren't used to having metal stubs on them so they are more sensative than normal. In addition, the braces can seem a bit sharp.A common spot to get these cuts is the inside of the upper/lower lip. These cuts may develop the first time you get braces and when you get them tightened. Your mouth will become used to them within a few days and you won't feel them. Besides wax, I recommend putting a tissue, or something soft between the brace and the area that hurts when you sleep, or when just sitting on the couch doing nothing. Don't worry, your mouth will adjust. Hang in there!

i twisted it backwards and fell on my ankle while working and it hurts to walk on it, but its not excrutiatingly painful, i walked all the way home on it ( 1 Mile), and i can turn my ankle every way like I normally can, and without pain. Got my braces off today & when they gave me my retainers they had to adjust it cause it didn't fit right. I noticed tonight that its pushing one of my front bottom teeth back slowly. My mom won't let me dye my hair?

I'm 13 years old and I want to dye my hair a dark-ish brown. Right now I have hair that's sort of in-between light and medium brown hair with natural blonde highlights. I just got my braces off after years a few days ago and ive just noticed on a couple of teeth that had the metal donuts on that there are brown spots on the inside. the man taking them off said they were the hardest to get off he's ever had. How can certain jobs (like policemen, air traffic controllers, etc), have upper age limits for potential candidates and not violate federal age discrimination laws? For example, a candidate for becoming an ATC is around 30 years old (for FAA training), and our city police dept. upper age cutoff is 45. What to do with the pokey wire on my braces?

I went to the ortho yesterday and a wire is poking me. Badly. If you have braces, I'm sure you know what wire I'm talking about - the one in the back that sometimes sticks out and pokes the back of your cheek. I will be out of town for the next week, we are leaving town tomorrow at 5 in the morning, which is before my ortho's office opens. I have wax, but it never stays on for more than 2 minutes, it doesnt really help anyway, and I am almost out already. I've tried bending the wire but that does not help. I can't use nail clippers because I am not superhuman and cannot fit them into my mouth at the right angle to snip the wire. I don't know what to do. It hurts SUPER bad, and my cheek is all scratched up. Oh, and also, when I go to the orthodontics and they use the wire cutters in the back of my mouth, I am REALLY REALLY SUPER paranoid they will cut my skin with the wire(because you can feel the wire cutters touching your cheek as they are cutting the wire). I told the lady that works at my orthodontics office and she said that I was being "silly", and that would neverrrr happen. Lo and behold, in the next minute or two, she snipped my skin with the wire cutters, as she had promised me would NOT happen. It hurt SOO FREAKIN BAD. I yelped and told her that she cut me, and she didn't believe me, even though I was BLEEDING FROM IT. I am super scared this will happen again, and every time someone is about to cut a wire on my braces, I start to freak out and I fight the urge to cry(I know, what a wuss). I get this weird tingly feeling all over my body when I feel my skin make contact with the metal wire cutters, like I am about to pass out. How do I calm myself down when they use the wire cutters on me?

Overdubbing is fine, but too much of any good thing is bad. Too many overdubs has a tendency to de-liven the music, make it more static and less fresh-sounding. Billy Corgan could play a good guitar, but sometimes you'd never know it, because it was buried under layers and layers of extra texture that he didn't always need.

The instrument checkride is the hardest you'll ever take. If you're "super nervous" about it, I'd say you're not ready for it yet and your instructor has not properly prepared you for the checkride. I got a speeding ticket in seattle area. I live in TX. I am going back to home in a few days. Is there anywsy to get this ticket deferred from Texas? I am not planning to cone back to WA anytime soon. If I just pay the ticket ($113 for +5 over limit), how many points will I loose? I guess this will eventually shiw up in my TX record. Is there any way to get this ticket deferred without court hearing with my presence, as I cannot come fron TX all the way to Seattle area for court hearing for a speeding ticket. Why are there plastic blocks behind my two front teeth whilst i have braces and what do i do?

My friend caught with petty theft. This is his first and only offense. He had a court date and was sentenced to 1 year probation and a small fine of 100.00 dollars. The probation was completed, and the case was dismissed. Just to make sure everything would be ok for the future, he got an expungement for anything that may be there, he was never fingerprinted for this act. There was also no conviction. This is in Minnesota. Can you tell me if he can still work for the FAA or would this show on a background check? What type of check would it show on if any?? Army MOS 15B civilian job transition?

Are you reserve? B/C if your active it's almost impossible to know your unit already. If your active I wouldn't get my hopes up on that unit. This MOS tranfers very well to civilian depending on where you apply and what you do once you get out. I know work for Lockheed Martin as an engineer. I used my Army money to go through college after my enlistment and Lockheed Martin loves to hire ex-military. I am know in the reserves, and many people I work with are also in the reserves, so if your a reservist that's not a problem. Thank You for serving out country. Where are you going to basic?

My retainer is hurting?

I got my fixed braces off on Wednesday and a fixed retainer on the back of my teeth on that day too. Today I got the clear plastic retainer which you wear at night, and it is making my bottom teeth ache! Is this normal? It's the same kind of ache you get just after having your braces tightened.

As long as you show rigor and proficiency then it will be good for college. For example, taking all AP classes for one year and gets let's say mostly B's in these classes is not as good as someone who balances out their schedule with AP and regular courses but gets all A's for that year. It's not really about how many AP's you take, but how many you can handle. Colleges don't require a certain amount of quotas for a given school. As long as you meet the requirements and your transcript looks good, you will be accepted. 15 AP classes is enough to get into an ivy league school if you're marks were good for those classes and showing involvement and leadership in high school.

A regional might get you more experience dealing with ATC and a busy flight schedule. A charter airline would probably have fewer flights but you could be more involved in building each trip by hand and dealing with more issues for the flight. I would say the most important thing is to get a job with a decent company where you will get good experience, whether it's regional or charter. Personal preference, if you have a choice I would go with the regional airline because they probably have better flight benefits.
