Rubber bands on braces question(s)........?

i know it hurts but it is worth the pain. it will take off months if you wear them properly because the rubber bands act like another force to pull your teeth to the correct position( if you get the chance you should google how braces work its fascinating!) but the pain will go away but just make sure to take them out before eating otherwise they will snap in your mouth and can you say ouch? your orthodontist should have explained how long you would need them so don't be hesitant to ask next time when you are there.
