Air Traffic Control, Contract Towers?

not too sure about contract towers but here is a link on a great site all about air traffic control contract/military/FAA and this has all sorts of forum topics on contract towers so you might find something in there. a href="http://www.stuckmic.com/contract-tower-employment/" rel="nofollow"http://www.stuckmic.com/contract-tower-e…/a As for the FAA it wouldn't hurt to apply, I'm guessing you could do the VRA application. They usually prefer to hire vets over any other candidates. They usually have selection panels for the FAA 2-4 times a year, and they just had one wrap up last week, with the next one tentatively slated for October. I would just call and network with a bunch of facilities in different states and tell them you're military, and that you're almost going to be 31 years old. Sometimes they are willing to work with people approaching the age deadline to get them in over other ppl. It also depends on what states you apply for. You can only pick 2 states but if you pick the right ones you can get selected. I know for this panel West Virginia and Kentucky were two states that needed people. But just call around, there's facility numbers for every FAA facility on that website I gave you so try some and ask if they need ppl and who you are. Good luck!
