My dentist gave me a bunch of little blue pills?

When I got my braces my dentist gave me a bag of stuff to help take care of them. Just a toothbrush and some mouthwash and floss and stuff. In that bag was a package of little dark blue tablets. On the package it said "disclosing tablets". What the heck are they for?
