FAA Class 1 Medical Certification question?

Hi, I have my first FAA med exam next week and have a question for people that have gone through it. Does the Dr. have to get your medical records or is it just a physical and paper work and if you pass you get the certification right away? Bye the way if it helps i take no meds and have no medical problems. Thanks!
