How often do people shower in Europe?

I know this probably sounds naive and ignorant, but how often do people shower in Europe? I know in some places, like France, the women don't shave their armpits and people generally don't use deodorant, but is it like that everywhere in Europe? And how often do people shower? In Harry Potter they never talk about showering. I know showering isn't vital to the plot or anything, so it would probably just be left out, but I always just thought it was kind of weird how they only really mentioned it once or twice in the whole series. And yes, I know the Harry Potter series isn't an accurate representation of Europe as a whole, but anyways... just curious!
